Lottie Simpson, an ARTiculation 2019 Grand Finalist used her Kenneth Clark Travel Award to visit the Katie Paterson exhibition in Margate.
Lottie said: It was a really fascinating and enjoyable experience which was made possible thanks to this travel award. Thank you so much!
I’d like to add what an incredible experience participating in ARTiculation has been. It has enriched my understanding and appreciation of so many artists not just Marina Abramovic. Listening to everyone’s presentations was so enlightening. It has given me confidence in my speaking skills and encouraged me to explore Art History. The books you gave me have already been helpful in my artist researches.
I would like to encourage others in participating in such a worthwhile initiative.
The Kenneth Clark Society ARTiculation Travel Award was established in 2014 sponsored by the Kenneth Clark Society to enable students to visit works of art, architecture or exhibitions of their choice within the British Isles.
Students who participate in ARTiculation through our outreach programme, Discovery Days, and then subsequently take part in the ARTiculation Prize are invited to submit a 100-200 word outline of where they would like to visit and why.
Awards are announced at the ARTiculation Prize Finals in Cambridge.
